All Painting (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or use this website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law.

Information we collect

We only collect the information we need to respond to you and to quote or carry out painting work.

Information you give us

When you send the contact form, call us or email us, we may collect:

• your name;
• your phone number;
• your email address;
• the address of the property the work relates to;
• the type of work you are asking about; and
• anything else you choose to tell us in the message field, by phone or by email, including photos you send of the space.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours may record limited technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you viewed and the site or search that referred you.

Information from work we carry out

If you become a customer, we also keep records about the job itself, such as the site address, notes from the assessment visit, the colours and products chosen, photographs of the work areas, quotes and invoices.

Why we collect it and how we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To schedule, carry out and invoice painting work.
• To keep a record of the colours, products and scope of your job, in case you need touch-ups or matching paint later.
• To contact you about your enquiry or your job by phone or email.
• To keep our business records and meet legal, tax and insurance obligations.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade contact lists.

Consent

When you send a form on this site, call us or email us, you consent to us using the information you provide to respond to you about that enquiry. If you give us a phone number, we may call you about your enquiry, your quote and your scheduled work. We do not use your details for marketing unless you have agreed to that.

Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw your consent to our use of your personal information at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Write to [email protected] and we will explain what withdrawing consent means in your situation. It may mean we can no longer provide a quote or finish work that depends on those details.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and, where enabled, to measure traffic and the results of our advertising. Tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking may set cookies and collect aggregated information about how visitors use the site, including approximate location, device and pages viewed. We use this information in aggregate and not to identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which may affect how the site works. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on Google provides.

Colour visualizer

Our colour visualizer lets you try paint colours on a photo. The instant preview runs entirely in your browser, on your device. Your photo is not uploaded to us or anyone else for the instant preview.

Optional AI render. If you choose "See a realistic render" and confirm, we send your photo, an outline of the surfaces you picked and your colour choices to our AI partner, kie.ai, which creates the render. kie.ai processes this information on servers outside Canada, so it may be subject to the laws of other countries. To pass the photo to kie.ai, we keep it on our server for the length of the render. We delete it as soon as the render is finished, cancelled or has failed, and in every case within one hour. The finished render is sent back to your browser; we do not keep a copy once your browser has it. Nothing is sent unless you ask for an AI render.

On your device. So you can come back to your work (for example after visiting our quote page), your browser keeps your photo, your selections and any AI render in its own storage on your device. This is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser.

Daily limit on AI renders. To keep the service fair and its costs in check, we limit how many AI renders can be made each day. For this we set a cookie named apv_v in your browser. It holds a random code and nothing about you, and it expires after 30 days. We count renders per day against that code and against a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address; we never store the address itself. The counts start over at midnight, Toronto time, and are deleted within a day.

Render log. We keep a short log of each AI render's time, outcome and cost, so we can watch for problems and misuse. It contains no photos, addresses or cookie codes.

Please do not upload photos that show people or personal information. If you have questions about the colour visualizer, write to [email protected].

Sharing your information

We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with:

• service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host and email provider, and only to the extent they need it;
• suppliers or trades involved in your job, where the work requires it;
• our insurers or professional advisors, where relevant to a claim or dispute; and
• authorities or other parties where we are required or permitted to do so by law.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, in which case it may be subject to the laws of that country. We take reasonable steps to use providers that offer a comparable level of protection.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. We keep records of completed work, including quotes and invoices, for as long as tax, insurance and limitation periods require. When information is no longer needed, we destroy, erase or anonymize it.

Protecting your information

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification, including limiting access to the people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Accuracy, access and correction

Please tell us if your details change. You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy and to ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete. Write to [email protected]. We may ask you to verify your identity before we respond. We will respond within the time allowed by PIPEDA, normally within 30 days. In limited circumstances the law allows us to refuse access, and if so we will explain why.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first at [email protected] and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Our site links to other websites, including our Google Business Profile. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of sites we do not operate; please read their privacy policies.

Children

Our services are for property owners, tenants and managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with the date it was last updated.
